Forkbeard invaded England in 1009 and when in 1013 Ethelred II fled
into exile he was regarded as king.

Harold
I was originally buried at Westminster Abbey. His step-brother and
successor Harthacanute had his body disinterred and thrown in a swamp
from where it was later recovered and reburied. |
