World Heritage Sites
(Outside of the United Kingdom)

Located in the Pitcairn Islands in the South Pacific, Henderson Island was designated a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1988.

Situated in the South Atlantic among the Tristan da Cunha Islands, Gough Island contains one of the world's largest sea bird colonies and was designated a World Heritage Site in 1995. In 2004 the Inaccessible Islands were included in the site which is now known as the Gough and Inaccessible Islands.

In 2000 the
Historic Town and Fortifications of St George on Bermuda were designated a World Heritage Site. Founded in 1612 the town of St George is the oldest English town in the New World.

In 2016 the
Gorham's Cave Complex on Gibraltar was designated a World Heritage Site. The site contains evidence of Neanderthal life dating back 100,000 years.
