Notes |
1.
George I is the only British monarch to be buried
in a foreign country other than France.
He was originally buried at the church at Leineschloss, Hanover but
was reburied in 1957.
2.
George III's father Frederick Louis died in 1751
before he could become king.
3.
The Prince of Wales and future George IV ruled
due to the insanity of his father George III.
4.
Victoria became Queen due to the death of her father
Edward in 1820, of whom she was the only child. Her two uncles and
predecessors had produced no heirs. |
