1.
Edward IV deposed Henry VI in 1461 but was deposed himself in 1470
before being restored the following year.
2. The
Princes in the Tower, Edward V and his brother Richard, Duke of
York, were imprisoned by their uncle Richard, Duke of Gloucester (the
future Richard III) in the Tower of London where they were presumably
murdered. In 1674 the skeletons of two boys were found in the Garden
Tower.
3.
During the Reformation the bones of Richard III were dug up from Greyfriars
Abbey and thrown in the nearby river Soar. |
